2013 Technical Specifications
Drinking Window Stephen Tanzer: 2018–2025; Burghound: 2019 onward
Classification Premier Cru
Region Les Brouillards
Production Details Exact-parcel observation: Les Brouillards experienced relatively little hail in 2013. Producer-wide 2013 élevage context, not a Brouillards-only specification: the house reported very late malolactic fermentations; at the February barrel visit the wines had not yet been racked or sulfured and retained noticeable carbon dioxide, for which decanting was recommended.
Tasting Notes Stephen Tanzer described medium-red color, meat and nutty oak on the nose, lean red-fruit flavors, firm acidity and dusty tannins. Burghound noted perceptible wood, fresh and pure red berries, earth and soft spice, with a cool, restrained, vibrant middleweight palate and a chewy, austere, mildly drying finish.

2012 Technical Specifications
Grape Varieties Pinot Noir
Classification Premier Cru
Region Les Brouillards
Production Details Producer-wide 2012 élevage context, not a Brouillards-only specification: purchased barrels were kept in the cold roof of the cellar during winter and early spring to delay the start of malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes Antonio Galloni described dark red cherry, plum, smoke, licorice, leather and graphite, with a massive, structured profile. Stephen Tanzer found redcurrant, coffee, underbrush and a floral nuance, followed by silky, saline red fruit, crushed stone, pepper and licorice. Neal Martin reported floral, redcurrant and fresh-strawberry aromas with fresh, fleshy red fruit and an orange-zest finish.
