2018 Technical Specifications
Drinking Window 2025 onward
Classification Premier Cru
Region Les Embazees
Production Details At the review stage, the 2018 whites had neither been racked nor sulfured and were expected to be bottled in November, 27 months after harvest. The extended élevage without added protection was intended to let oxidizable material precipitate naturally instead of being removed by filtration or fining. The producer reported elevated dissolved CO2 (approximately “1000 mm” as printed) and recommended decanting. Burghound’s barrel-review range for Les Embrazées was 89–92 points.
Tasting Notes Burghound described pungent cider and lemon-rind aromas, followed by refined, stony, medium-weight flavors with good density, excellent depth and persistent length.

2016 Technical Specifications
Classification Premier Cru
Region Les Embazees
Production Details At Stephen Tanzer’s early-June barrel tasting, the 2016 whites had not been racked or sulfured; bottling was subsequently planned for October and November. Les Embrazées underwent a fairly late malolactic fermentation. Tanzer’s comparison gives an acidity figure of 3.6 for Les Embrazées, but neither its unit nor analytical basis is stated, so it is not proposed as total acidity. The projected barrel-review range was 91–94 points.
Tasting Notes Stephen Tanzer described pear, green apple, menthol, mint leaf, rosemary and warm southern herbs; the palate was very rich and opulent, tactile and smooth, with broad texture, a dry rich finish, persistent length and emerging lemon-drop acidity.
