Production Details The 0.27 ha mid-slope Chardonnay parcel had stated production of 1,900, although the sheet does not specify the unit. After light settling, the must fermented in principally 600 L and some 228 L barrels, including malolactic fermentation. The first racking occurred after approximately one year of wood maturation, followed by 4–6 months in stainless steel. The vintage header reports 0% new barrels, while the generic style paragraph on the same sheet says 5–20% new barrels, predominantly Allier oak with long, light toasting; the vintage-specific 0% figure is therefore retained separately and the internal discrepancy is preserved here. The domaine reports organic farming since 1995, biodynamic practices since 2005, and Ecocert certification. The domaine’s 2020 harvest began on 20 August in Volnay and Pommard, but this is not established as the harvest date of this Monthélie parcel. The producer reports post-malolactic pH around 3.1–3.2 for its 2020 white wines generally, not as a finished-wine analysis specific to Les Duresses.
