2021 Technical Specifications

Drinking Window 2026-2038
Region Les Cazetiers

Production Details The 2021 was produced only from old-vine fruit. Decanter reported four barrels from 60 planted ares and said the young vines had been removed because of rootstock problems. Tasting Notes Decanter, October 2022: dark and powerful, ripe plum, freshness, firm tannic texture, length and a complex, subtle finish. Tim Atkin, January 2023: Marasca cherry, redcurrant, toast and chocolate, with ample body and grippy tannins. Vinous, January 2023: precise and mineral, with candied orange peel, red fruit and a tensile palate.

Drinking Window 2023-2042
Region Les Cazetiers
Production Details The 2019 Les Cazetiers reportedly experienced substantial millerandage.
Tasting Notes One Vinous review found reduction over flinty and granitic mineral aromas, succulent ripe tannins, a fleshy and elegant palate and black pepper. A later entry found more pronounced reduction and less-integrated wood, with firm structure, backbone and sapidity; these observations are retained as separately scoped reviews.
