Production Details At Jasper Morris MW’s 2022 barrel review, the sample used no whole bunches and had not yet been racked. Bichel describes approximately 18 months in small barrels and recommends serving at 14–16°C; neither range is converted to an exact day or temperature field. Vinmonopolet reports sugar below 3 g/L and acid at 5.9 g/L, but does not state the acid-equivalent basis, so these are retained contextually rather than inserted as exact residual-sugar or total-acidity facts. The producer’s 2022 overview says maturity was reached easily on 2 September, fermentations were rapid, and polyphenol extraction was easy. The no-whole-bunch 2022 evidence conflicts with the producer’s undated exact-wine profile, which states 30% whole bunches; the vintage-specific observation is retained for 2022 without rewriting the undated specification.
Tasting Notes Jasper Morris MW’s 2022 barrel note: intense but lively purple; some oak and faint reduction; blueberries and oak-derived cream; explosive palate with supporting acidity.
Food Pairing Poultry, feathered or other game, lamb, concentrated sauces, root vegetables, cabbage and mushrooms
Critics Ratings 93–95 points — Inside Burgundy, Jasper Morris MW
