Production Details Le Clos comes from a parcel of less than 0.4 hectares planted in 1998. Fruit was hand-harvested. No herbicides or pesticides were used; vineyard treatments were limited to copper and sulfur. Vinification used open vats and native yeasts, with no additives except a small sulfur addition after malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged in French oak barrels with a maximum of 15% new oak and bottled without fining, filtration or enzyme additions.
Tasting Notes Dark cherry, raspberry, grilled meat and licorice; fuller-bodied than Champ, with notable depth and richness.
