Production Details The grapes were harvested manually and sorted. The producer states that Grenache was destemmed while Syrah was not; maceration preceded fermentation, with extraction and temperature controlled through daily tasting and punch-downs or pump-overs. After racking, the wine matured for one and a half years in oak foudres. Liberty Wines describes the grapes generally as destemmed, so its wording conflicts with the producer's varietal-specific account. Liberty also reports acidity of 4.73 g/L, but does not identify its analytical basis; it is therefore retained here rather than emitted as unqualified total acidity.
Tasting Notes Intense deep red with purple reflections; fresh blackberry, black truffle, cocoa and ripe black fruit; complex, smooth and round palate with silky tannins.
