Gentle extraction during early fermentation used measured pump-overs and punch-downs. Fifty percent of the volume matured in barrels for 12 months, with 20% new oak stated within that barrel regime, while the remainder stayed in stainless steel. Following lot selection, racking and blending, the wine matured for another 9 months before bottling. The stated total ageing was 21 months, with cellar-ageing potential of 8 years.
Tasting Notes Deep garnet with violet reflections; black-cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant preserves, smoke, licorice, mineral, eucalyptus and menthol notes; fresh, vibrant, dense and tannic yet fleshy and nearly silky, with long aromatic persistence.

Production Details Grapes were hand-picked plot by plot at maximum ripeness, cold-soaked and fermented traditionally in open concrete tanks. Daily punch-downs and pump-overs provided extraction, and maceration lasted 10–12 days. Maturation lasted 14 months, partly in tanks and partly in small Burgundian barrels previously used for one or two wines; regular rackings supplied oxygen to soften the tannins.
Tasting Notes Deep garnet with purple tinges; crushed black cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by smoke and licorice; tannic, intense, pulpy and nearly silky, with generous complexity and aromatic persistence.
