Production Details During the 2017 growing season, repeated valerian preparations were applied against spring frost; treatment intervals were tightened during strong mildew pressure, with silica specifically noted; and 500P horn-manure preparation plus valerian were used during summer water and heat stress. Pinot Noir was hand-picked into small harvest cases after an initial vineyard selection, sorted again at the winery, completely destemmed and placed nearly intact into oak vats. Parcels were vinified separately by origin, using traditional gentle pigeage, remontage and délestage. The wine matured for 12 months in oak barrels and a further 6 months in stainless-steel vats, then was blended, bottled and rested in the cellar for several months—and sometimes several years—before release. Lots below the domaine’s quality threshold were excluded rather than used for a second wine.
Tasting Notes Brilliant, deep appearance; fresh red-fruit aromas; fine tannins; strawberry and redcurrant; chalky character
