Production Details The vineyard is a steeply terraced, approximately one-hectare amphitheatre with multiple exposures. Traditional pump-overs were used; fermentation and maceration lasted about four weeks. Maturation lasted 42 months in new barrels made at the Château d'Ampuis cooperage. The importer page contains stale 2019 wording in parts of its vineyard and vintage narrative, so those passages are not treated as 2020 vintage conditions.
Tasting Notes Ruby red; small red fruits, blackberry and violet; supple, concentrated, balanced and silky. Vintage-specific critics additionally identify dark cherry, blackberry, dark plum, graphite, olive tapenade, cedar, espresso, mint, herbs, chocolate, smoked meat and fine tannins.
