Production Details The wine was vinified parcel by parcel after gravity pressing and spontaneous fermentation in oak. The March 2024 French sheet states 6 months on harvest lees, no induced malolactic fermentation, and no filtration or clarification; it describes the 27 June 2022 disgorgement as having 19 years of bottle-lees maturation. An older producer sheet for the 14 September 2020 disgorgement instead states 10 months on lees in Burgundian oak, no malolactic fermentation or fining, and 17 years 2 months on bottle lees. Vineyard work included minimal soil disturbance, natural grass between rows, shallow under-row cultivation, herbotherapy, Poussard pruning, green manure and natural or organic fertilization. The producer characterizes 2002 as having a mild spring, a sunny summer, and concentrated, fresh fruit from a bright harvest with cool nights.
