Production Details John Gilman’s November 2021 review reports that the vins clairs were aged through the end of July 2017 before bottling for secondary fermentation. That review calls the wine solely Chardonnay, whereas Gault & Millau specifies 72% Chardonnay and 28% Pinot Noir while also describing it as a first-time blanc de blancs; the 2016 blend therefore remains unresolved.
Tasting Notes John Gilman, November 2021 release review: lemon, pear, crème pâtissière, limestone minerality, orange blossom and buttery oak; bright, full-bodied and tensile, with elegant mousse, brisk acidity, mineral drive and a long, focused finish.
Critics Ratings 95+ John Gilman (November 2021); 91 James Suckling (October 2021); 94/100 Gault & Millau (2022 review)
