Production Details Producer's generic specification: Le Rosé is matured in 228- and 350-litre casks, usually receives approximately 5–6 g/L dosage, and is often made from one harvest without being vintage-declared. For the release disgorged 09/2021 and described as predominantly 2018, the still wines aged about nine months on fine lees in pièces and demi-muids, followed by more than two years sur lattes; its stated dosage was 5 g/L and recommended serving temperature was 9–10°C. For the release disgorged 05/2022, the vendor reports maturation in stainless-steel vats and oak casks, at least 40 months on lees, and dosage of 5.5 g/L. These disgorgement dates and dosage figures are release-specific and are not generalized as vintage-wide canonical dosage or disgorgement claims.
Tasting Notes Producer profile: pale and clear with orange highlights, a mellow initial texture, and a long, delicate, precise finish. La Route des Blancs' September 2021 disgorgement note describes stewed strawberry, raspberry, Granny Smith and Reinette apples, redcurrant, chalk, nutmeg, ginger, star anise, clementine peel, lemongrass and toasted nuts, with an enveloping palate, woodland fruit, citrus and a fresh, chalky, saline finish.
Food Pairing Saffron monkfish, stuffed crab, ginger-sautéed prawns, fish tagine or sushi
