Production Details The Clos de Bèze crop suffered approximately 50% frost loss. Remaining fruit was described as ripe and clean, requiring little consequential sorting. Across the domaine's 2016 vinifications, Damoy reported an average of 30% whole clusters, his usual extraction level and more new oak than usual. Burghound assessed the unfinished regular cuvée at 91–94 points and cautioned that the final wine could differ because its blend had not yet been finalized.
Tasting Notes Pre-bottling sample: slightly woody and highly spicy nose with mostly red berries and floral elements; broad-shouldered yet sleek flavors, fine length and a lingering, moderately austere finish.
