Production Details The 1.2669-hectare holding comprised vines planted in 1940, 1974, 1980, 1981 and 2013. Grapes were harvested and sorted by hand; the proportions of destemmed fruit and whole clusters varied with the vintage, and the wine received daily punchdowns. Vatting lasted 19 days, followed by gravity run-off and slow, gentle pressing. Maturation lasted 16–18 months in fine-grained, moderately toasted French-oak barrels: 60% new and 40% one-wine barrels. The producer’s broader 2020 vintage account says its harvest ended on 1 September, without assigning that date specifically to these Clos de Vougeot parcels.
