Classification Grand Cru
Region Batard-Montrachet
Sites Fruit from both Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet
Production Details The 2023 whites were reported as scheduled for bottling around November 2025, approximately 27 months after harvest. The long élevage used no added protection so oxidizable material could precipitate naturally rather than be removed by fining or filtration. At evaluation, the wines had not been racked after malolactic fermentation, retained elevated CO2, and decanting was advised.
Tasting Notes Burghound described ripe pear and apple compote with floral and spice nuances; a broad-shouldered, generously proportioned, rich and opulent palate; and a racy, lemony, moderately austere and compact finish.
