Harvest Dates Harvest began on 19 August 2021 with the first Grenache bunches.
Production Details The 2021 growing season followed a mild autumn and winter. Part of the vineyard was affected by frost during the night of 8 April; a rainy spring delayed the start of flowering, and the summer was hot with heatwaves of varying duration and intensity. The sheet describes the wider Château Romassan vineyard as 90 hectares spread across all eight Bandol communes: valley sites provide more juice and crunch, while higher hillside terraces provide more body and structure.
Tasting Notes Deep, clear garnet colour; redcurrant, Morello cherry and liquorice aromas developing into garrigue notes; velvety palate with fine, silky tannins; harmonious, generous and fresh, with delicate oak character.
