Production Details The parcel covers 2.3703 ha. The producer's estate-wide 2020 overview—not explicitly the Clos de l'Ecu parcel's picking dates—says harvest began on 19 August and ended on 1 September. Grapes were harvested and sorted by hand; the destemmed-versus-whole-cluster proportion varied by vintage, but the 2020 percentage is unstated. Daily punch-downs were performed, and alcoholic fermentation was complete after a 19-day vatting period. The wine matured for 14 months in barrels, one third new. Recommended serving temperature is 14–16°C; the range is retained here rather than converted to a single serving_temp_c value.
Tasting Notes Deep ruby to garnet; pure red and black fruit with ripe-fruit intensity; lively, fresh and rich, with spicy, woody and menthol notes
Food Pairing Duck breast; beef fillet; slow-roast lamb; veal shank with caramelised carrots
