Production Details Aged for 12 months in large foudres. The warm, early-ripening, well-drained alluvial site is among the first harvested on the estate; mildew reduced the 2021 crop but the producer reports no resulting quality impact.
Tasting Notes August 2022 producer note: bright pale yellow; intense smoky and toasted aromas, initially reductive; medium-bodied, very dry and delicate, with energetic acidity; aeration or decanting recommended in youth.

Production Details The parcels suffered approximately 50% losses from the April 2017 frost, producing unusually concentrated, ripe fruit. The wine did not ferment completely dry and therefore was released as Roche Roulée rather than under the estate's dry Turckheim communal designation. It was aged in large old oak casks. Kobrand also lists acidity as 2.94 g/L without identifying its acid-equivalent basis, so that figure is not mapped to total_acidity_gl.
Tasting Notes March 2019 producer note: bright golden yellow; expressive fruit and fir honey; velvety and enveloping palate structured by tannins and fine bitters, with generous breadth but no heaviness or overt sweetness.
Food Pairing Seafood roasted over charcoal or wood fire; chicken and noodle dishes with subtle Thai or Sichuan-style spice.
