Production Details The producer reports sweetness index 1 and says Pinot Gris from this terroir often ferments quickly and finishes very dry. The official language versions agree on total acidity of 4.0 g/L as H2SO4 equivalent but disagree on the tartaric-acid equivalent: the English page gives 6.4 g/L and the French page gives 6.1 g/L. No unqualified canonical total-acidity value is proposed.
Tasting Notes Bright yellow; intense flintstone, smoke and wet-pebble aromas evolving toward spice and light toast; powerful and persistent, with a suave, saline, velvety attack becoming racy and acid-driven on the finish

Production Details Sweetness index 1. The separate Roche Volcanique bottling was motivated by a marked 2022 yield difference between the older and younger Pinot Gris vines. The official language versions agree on total acidity of 3.0 g/L as H2SO4 equivalent but disagree on the tartaric-acid equivalent: English gives 4.5 g/L and French gives 4.6 g/L. No unqualified canonical total-acidity value is proposed.
Tasting Notes Bright pale yellow; expressive fruit and smoke with smoked ham and grilled hazelnut; velvety, deep and long without excessive power; gentle, saline finish; dry but softened by substantial dry extract

Bottling Date February 2021
Production Details Total acidity was reported as 3.7 g/L H2SO4 equivalent and 5.7 g/L tartaric-acid equivalent; sweetness index 1. The younger-vine parcels were cultivated like the older vines, including ploughing by winch. The producer sought healthy grapes without noble rot, and reports that this site fermented quickly and retained little sweetness relative to its ripeness. The acidity figures are retained with their analytical bases rather than proposed as unqualified total acidity.
Tasting Notes Pale yellow; smoky and flinty volcanic aroma; powerful and intense palate with persistent saline texture; very dry and relatively strict yet highly drinkable; long, mouth-watering finish

Production Details Sweetness index 2. The producer reports that fermentation was slightly slower than usual and the wine retained some sweetness. The English technical page leaves total acidity blank, so no acidity claim is proposed from that page.
Tasting Notes Rich yellow; smoky, flinty and crushed-rock aromas; long and powerful palate; bold, intense finish with complex salivating acidity and substantial ageing potential
