Production Details Finished-wine total acidity is reported as 4.9 g/L H2SO4 equivalent (7.5 g/L tartaric-acid equivalent). The wine fermented very slowly but completed fermentation dry. The rocky, shallow upper-Clos soils and the site's altitude and proximity to the Vosges forest produce slow ripening; the producer describes it as the estate's last terroir to be harvested.
Tasting Notes Producer tasting note dated January 2026: bright pale yellow; refined citrus and nectarine aromas with a limestone-like firmness; harmonious texture, ripe saline acidity, precision, tension and a direct finish.

Soil Triassic muschelkalk limestone; shallow, Rocky and well-drained on the upper clos
Vineyard Yield 40 hL/ha
Vine Age 47
Bottling Date January 2023
Production Details Finished-wine total acidity is reported as 4.6 g/L H2SO4 equivalent (7.0 g/L tartaric-acid equivalent). Healthy grapes produced a precise dry wine; fermentation was constant and regular for one year. The producer says later Riesling budbreak reduced frost damage and the rocky soil's drainage limited the effects of the wet spring.
Tasting Notes Producer tasting note dated January 2023: bright pale yellow; intense but tight citrus and mineral nose; austere, rigorous and complex; elegant and delicate palate with lively salivating acidity, a lacy texture and dry finish.

The wine remained on full lees for 18 months before bottling without manipulation; the tasting note further specifies retention on fermentation lees until bottling.
Tasting Notes Producer tasting note dated February 2021: pale green-gold; limestone and reductive character with citrus, wet stone and dried herbs; tight and austere yet mineral, energetic and vital, with saline acidity and a long, delicate, luminous finish.
