Production Details Selection of the best plots of the Hugel family estate situated in Riquewihr in its most prestigious crus. Unique clay soils of Riquewihr give characteristic richness. Grapes taken in small tubs to presses filled by gravity, without pumping or other mechanical intervention. After pressing, must is decanted for a few hours, then fermented in temperature-controlled vats at 18 to 24°C. Wine is racked just once before natural clarification during winter. Lightly filtered in spring before bottling. Bottles aged in cellars before release.
