Production Details Grapes harvested exclusively by hand from clay and limestone vineyards in a dozen favoured localities in and around Riquewihr with high percentage of estate grapes. Grapes taken in small tubs to gravity-filled presses without pumping or mechanical intervention. After pressing, must decanted for a few hours, then fermented in temperature-controlled vats (18-24°C). Wine racked once before natural clarification during winter. Lightly filtered before bottling in spring. Bottle aged in cellars before release.
Tartaric Acid 6.29 g/L
Tasting Notes Straw-yellow with slightly coppery highlights; youthful yellow-fruit and floral aromas, developing fig, apricot, pear, wood, waxed-furniture and undergrowth notes with bottle age; rounded, mouth-watering and full-bodied with balancing acidity.
Food Pairing Terrines, white meats, and fish in sauce.
