Production Details The vineyard had not yet been pruned when acquired in March 2021, and Germain's late pruning spared it from that vintage's frost. Four barrels were produced. The wine profile specifies manual harvest, no added enzymes, no racking, cold and very slow fermentation, and 22 months of maturation with 20–30% new oak; fining and filtration are used only when necessary. The vineyard profile places the gently sloping parcel at 260–270 metres.
Tasting Notes Jasper Morris MW: dark-fruited, energetic and floral, with more weight and tannin than Clos des Mouches. William Kelley: sweet red berries, cherries and orange zest; medium- to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with melting tannins.
