Production Details The El Espino parcel lies in a dry, low-fertility area at approximately 800 m. Grapes were harvested manually into 20 kg boxes and passed through optical sorting; cold maceration was used. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation was split equally between tanks and second-use French-oak barrels. The wine matured for 12 months in French-oak barrels, 20% new, with two manual rackings, followed by four months integrating in tank. The sheet also reports volatile acidity of 0.68 g/L and recommends serving at 16–18°C.
Tasting Notes Intense, deep ruby with a purple-pink rim; forest fruit, redcurrant, cranberry and plum with ground coffee, licorice and sweet-pepper notes; fresh and balanced, with good body and soft, delicate tannins.
