Production Details This non-vintage solera wine is selected from six of Lustau's oldest solera casks and has an average age stated as more than 30 years. The current sheet describes a 500 mL release marked “Solera 1|1”; the live producer page says it is bottled directly from the barrel without treatment and may consequently show natural cloudiness or sediment. Serving guidance conflicts: the current linked sheet recommends 10–12 °C, whereas the live wine page and archived producer sheet recommend 13–14 °C. The archived sheet lists density 1.15, volatile acidity 1.05, total acidity 6.25 and residual sugar 430, but prints no units or acid-equivalent basis, so these figures are retained only as contextual observations. Blend specifications also conflict: the current sheet gives 80% Pedro Ximénez without identifying the remaining 20%, while the archived sheet gives 100% Pedro Ximénez.
Tasting Notes Opaque ebony colour with an iodine rim; dried figs, dates, roasted coffee beans, cocoa, liquorice, crème caramel, barley sugar, nuts and Christmas spices; luscious, dense and very sweet, with light acidity and a clean, non-cloying finish.
