Production Details Skin contact lasted 10–15 days. Alcoholic fermentation lasted 8–15 days at 22–24°C in cement and stainless-steel tanks, followed by complete malolactic fermentation in barrel. Maturation lasted 12 months, with 80% in barrels and 20% in foudre; 20% of the oak was new French oak from Nevers. Fifty hectares of the 200-hectare estate were allocated to Purgatori. The 2023 season recorded 257.9 mm annual rainfall and a 15.6°C annual mean temperature and was characterized by elevated temperatures and marked drought.
