Production Details The Höllenbrand site is cross-terraced and reaches gradients of up to 20%, so no single exact slope value is available. Wittmann’s holding comprises 0.46 hectares in the heart of the site. The 2024 release is Wittmann’s first Höllenbrand Grosses Gewächs. The exact-vintage Norwegian monopoly record reports sugar below 3 g/L, but does not provide an exact residual-sugar value.
Tasting Notes Stuart Pigott describes the 2024 release as cool and deep, with a silky, compact, medium-bodied palate, chalky minerality, herbal energy and a racy, notably fresh finish. Vinmonopolet additionally records apple, ripe citrus and mineral aromas, with a dry, fresh, structured, concentrated and long palate.
