Production Details Site context: Abtserde is the former independent parcel at the lower edge of Brunnenhäuschen and comprises large parts of the classified site. VDP reports an elevation range of 180–240 m and a 20% incline for Brunnenhäuschen. Cooling west winds contribute to late ripening and a long growing season; the limestone-bearing clay-marl soils retain water during dry periods.
Tasting Notes Intense citrus spice, stone fruit, rock candy, passion fruit, yellow peach, rhubarb and vanilla; sweet orchard fruit and compote, peach, candied citrus, herbs and spices, with a lightly saline finish.
