Production Details Abtserde is the historical parcel at the lower edge of Westhofener Brunnenhäuschen. The classified site lies at 180–240 m elevation with a 20% gradient; cooling westerly winds delay ripening and extend the growing season. Estate-wide context for 2012: yields were 10–15% below the already-low 2011 level, and the estate’s final grapes arrived by mid-November.
Tasting Notes Peach, tangerine, chalky minerality, citrus peel, bee pollen and spring flowers; medium-full, bright and snappy, with mineral drive, emerging complexity, fine length and grip, and a filigreed, focused finish
