Classification Kabinett; listed as restsüß
Region Rheinhessen
Soil Kirchspiel's core areas are characterized by clay marl with limestone-skeleton inclusions and a small proportion of weathered limestone clay; limestone also dominates the subsoil.
Production Details Julia Harding MW tasted a tank sample on 18 March 2023; the review explicitly says Keller did not analyze the wines until bottling, so the sample does not establish finished-wine analytical values. A vendor recommends serving at 8–10 °C.
Tasting Notes Green apple, white peach, citrus peel and orange blossom, with a faint tropical lift, saline limestone character, lively acidity and a long focused finish.
Food Pairing Oysters, scallops, smoked salmon, roasted chicken, pork belly, spicy Thai or Sichuan dishes, sushi, sashimi, Korean barbecue, and salads with citrus vinaigrette.

Soil Kirchspiel's core areas are characterized by clay marl with limestone-skeleton inclusions and a small proportion of weathered limestone clay; limestone also dominates the subsoil.
Production Details Julia Harding MW's 21 May 2022 assessment concerned a cask sample from old vines; that sample had 41 g/L residual sugar. The note says 2021 was Keller's first single-vineyard Kirchspiel Kabinett bottling since 2004. A separate vendor recommends serving at 8–10 °C.
Tasting Notes Julia Harding MW: peach and apricot aromas developing toward exotic fruit, honeysuckle and wildflower honey; vivid acidity, a slightly salty finish and a long peach-and-citrus aftertaste.
