Production Details This commemorative 2012 Hipping GG was a one-barrel release. Hipping site context is 80–174 m elevation with a 60–120% gradient; these ranges are vineyard-wide rather than parcel-specific. The Keller family bottled the special Queen's Diamond Jubilee wine in both regular 75-cl bottles and magnums for a September 2013 VDP charity auction at Bad Kreuznach.
Tasting Notes John Gilman (March/April 2013): lemon, tangerine, pink grapefruit, pulverized stone, petrol, orange peel and lemongrass; full-bodied, pure and refined, with racy acidity and a very long finish. Jancis Robinson (12 September 2013): fine and herbal, clean and direct, with purity and a pungent undertow.
