Production Details This debut 2024 vintage came from selectively hand-harvested grapes. Meininger's reports 100% whole-cluster use. The producer describes gentle spontaneous fermentation in an oak cuve, followed by careful pressing after approximately 10 days. Lobenberg reports open-mash fermentation, maturation for approximately 15 months and unfiltered bottling in spring 2026. The oak specification is unresolved: the producer says second-fill French barriques, whereas Lobenberg reports used Burgundy barrels together with a 20% new-oak component. The producer characterizes the limestone site's yields as correspondingly low but supplies no numeric yield.
Certifications DE-ÖKO-006
Tasting Notes Vinous: smoky, a hint of smoked bacon, deep Mirabelle-plum fruit, intense stony minerality and a compact, very long finish. Stuart Pigott: generous and earthy, fine tannins, animating acidity, firm structure, bold redcurrant fruit and a compact finish.
