Grape Varieties Pinot Noir
Classification Grosses Gewächs
Region Pfalz
Soil Sandstone and limestone; the embedded 2021 vinous review additionally mentions clay.
Production Details The importer states natural fermentation and barrique maturation with 50% new oak. Its embedded Vinous review instead says the 2021 spent 18 months in new barrique; because those oak specifications are not fully reconcilable, no settled vintage-wide new-oak proportion is asserted.
Tasting Notes Vinous, 2025-09-11: polished sandalwood/toast, Morello cherry and raspberry leaf; bright, gently leafy palate with noticeable oak and sufficient fruit and freshness to integrate with time.
