Production Details This 0.75 L auction release came from a separate picking made during the same week as the corresponding Auslese and Beerenauslese selections. The fruit was further winnowed at the press house and produced 85 L of concentrate; fermentation finished, and the wine was bottled shortly before David Schildknecht tasted it near the end of summer.
Tasting Notes David Schildknecht, February 2013: penetrating pear-distillate, Chartreuse, maraschino and almond-extract aromas; viscous and creamy yet vibrant, with honey, marzipan, caramel and maraschino-syrup impressions and an extremely sweet, persistent finish.
