Production Details The producer’s estate-level 2012 report says the old Scharzhofberg vineyards produced particularly good grapes and that both Kabinett and Spätlese “Alte Reben” might be bottled. Estate vintage context: harvest began on 15 October in cool, rainy weather, paused after two and a half days, resumed on 22 October and ended on 29 October after ten picking days. Grapes were generally healthy, with must weights up to 100 °Oechsle and very good acidity. These harvest observations and measurements describe the estate vintage, not a finished-wine analysis of this bottling.
Tasting Notes Peach nectar, ripe cherry, white raisin, lemon oil, tropical fruit, refreshing acidity, juicy spice and a long, pure, delicately luscious finish.
