2022 Technical Specifications

Region Rosso del Ticino
Production Details The producer’s shared 2022 release commentary describes a hot, sunny and dry Ticino season. Water stress required crop thinning; rapid ripening began around mid-August, and August rainfall helped the grapes ripen correctly. The page reports final alcohol around 14% vol., but this approximate shared statement is not an exact NiK1 finished-wine analysis.
Tasting Notes Impenetrable ruby colour; complex dark- and red-berry bouquet with spice, cedar and toasted wood; integrated oak; full body, soft tannins, juicy fruit and acidity; persistent, harmonious finish.

2021 Technical Specifications

Region Rosso del Ticino
Production Details The producer’s shared 2021 growing-season note records fairly early budding, development delayed by approximately ten days versus 2020, full flowering around June 10, sufficient July and early-August rainfall, and dry, sunny conditions from mid-August to mid-September that enabled excellent ripening of all varieties.
Tasting Notes Intense, deep ruby colour with violet nuances; ripe small red fruits, cherry and cassis with toasted and spicy notes; enveloping, structured and oak-nuanced; balanced and rich, with fine tannins on the finish.
