Production Details Fruit was destemmed but not crushed into open fermenters, followed by a 3-day cold soak and plunging three times daily. It remained on skins for 12 days before pressing, with malolactic fermentation completed in barrel. Batches remained separate until blending after 15 months of maturation in new and seasoned French oak. The producer also lists TA as 6.2 but supplies neither a unit nor an acid-equivalent basis, so that figure is not normalized as total acidity.
Tasting Notes Dark fruits and berries, redcurrant, mocha, chocolate, mint/menthol and oak spice; full-bodied, with balanced acidity, velvety tannins and a persistent finish
Critics Ratings 95 points — Wine Showcase; 93 points — James Halliday Wine Companion 2025; 91 points — Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot
