Production Details Fruit came from vines planted in 1972. Whole berries were destemmed, cold-soaked for 3 days under inert gas, fermented at 22–28°C with three plunges daily and a gentle pump-over during peak fermentation, and kept on skins for 8 days. After pressing to French-oak hogsheads, batches remained separate and barrels were individually selected after 18 months. The winemaking section specifies 1- and 2-year-old hogsheads, while the palate text separately refers to a generous portion of new French oak; this oak-age conflict is unresolved. The analytical line reports TA 6.2 without a unit or acid-equivalent basis, so it is not normalized as total acidity. Production comprised 3,048 individually numbered bottles.
Tasting Notes Opulent and complex, with dark cassis, berry compote, dried herbs and festive spice; rich, full-bodied red fruit, structured elegant tannins, bright natural acidity and a mouth-watering finish.
