Production Details Current 2017–2023 Solera: Gumpoldskirchen fruit from vineyards at 200–250 m, with vines aged 5–50 years and 4,000–5,000 vines/ha. Grapes were selectively hand-picked into 20 kg boxes, then destemmed, crushed or fermented as whole bunches. Fermentation was spontaneous in a wooden fermenter. Pinot Noir matured 6–12 months on full lees and 1–2 years on fine lees in small wooden barrels; Zweigelt and Sankt Laurent spent 6 months on lees in small barrels. Sulfur was added after blending at 10 mg/L. The producer calls the vinification low-intervention and recommends serving at 10–12°C.

Tasting Notes Johannes Fiala: bright cherry red with purple reflections; cranberry, Amarena cherry, propolis and juniper aromas; light, juicy palate with moderate tannins, blood orange, cherry, dried herbs, fresh acidity, silky texture and a long citrus finish.
Food Pairing Summer, bread and salami (earlier 2017–2022 blend).
