Production Details The vineyards were farmed sustainably and increasingly organically, without insecticides or herbicides, and harvested by hand. Selected grapes were pneumatically pressed, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation and fine-lees maturation in stainless steel. The German sheet adds that, after initial steel storage, part of the wine spent a short period in a large wooden maturation cask. Its general 2024 vintage narrative dates the exceptionally early harvest to 3 September, but does not establish that every grape for this cuvée was picked that day.

Production Details The vineyards were managed sustainably and increasingly organically without insecticides or herbicides, and the grapes were hand-picked. The English sheet records careful selection, pneumatic pressing, temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentation and fine-lees maturation in steel. 750ml bottle575 kcal
Grape Varieties Grüner Veltliner
Drinking Window Approachable young, with potential to age for at least 3–5 years
Classification Smaragd
Region Wachau
Soil Poor vineyard soils
Harvest Dates Mid-October 2019
Sites Terraced and riverside vineyards, mainly around Dürnstein and Loiben; some terraces are supported by dry-stone walls
Fermentation Vessels Stainless-steel tanks
Production Details Grapes were hand-picked in mid-October. Labor-intensive cultivation of steep terraces and poor soils reduced average yield to approximately 7,300 kg/ha. After temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentation, part of the wine matured for an unspecified period in large wooden casks. The sheet prints acidity as 6.4%, an anomalous unit that has been retained here as printed rather than normalized into total_acidity_gl. Recommended serving temperature is approximately 10°C.
Tasting Notes Medium green-yellow; expressive aromas of white pepper, black tea, dried herbs, quince and exotic fruit; complex, elegant and layered on the palate, with a long finish
Food Pairing Tafelspitz, Wiener Schnitzel and other fried dishes, grilled chicken or spicy fish
