Production Details Vines were trained on the Lenz Moser system. Average grape yield was 5,000 kg/ha; after multiple selections, the fruit was hand-picked at the beginning of October and subjected to rigid reception sorting for completely healthy grapes. Following gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation in large wooden casks, the final cuvée was selected by tasting different pressings in blending trials with Sommelier Union Austria. Recommended service was about 10°C. The analytical line prints acidity as 6.4%, an implausible or unclear unit for this measurement, so it is preserved here and not normalized to total_acidity_gl.
Tasting Notes Bright lemon-straw; crushed red apple, citrus blossom, walnut, almond and fine spices; powerful and classy, with juicy fruit, balance, freshness and good structure
Food Pairing Hearty snacks and Austrian dishes such as Tafelspitz
