Production Details Origin: selected vineyards in the prime red wine growing area of the Devon Valley near Stellenbosch. Grapes were hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, destalked, crushed, and fermented on the skins for 7 days in open fermenting tanks at an average 24-30 C. After fermentation, the skins were pressed in traditional basket presses. Free-run and pressed juice were combined, spontaneous malolactic fermentation took place in tank, and the wine was blended from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Pinotage, and 10% Merlot. The wine spent 12-13 months in French oak barrels. Bottle size: 750ml.
