Production Details Grenache Noir from the Berg-en-Dal farm in Piekenierskloof, from a vineyard planted in 1973. Warm days and cool nights help the old dryland bush vines produce small, flavourful berries. Handpicked early in the morning and delivered cold to the cellar. 20% whole bunches were placed at the bottom of the foudre to elevate fruit expression, with stems adding aromatic lift and grip. The rest of the berries were hand-sorted on top. Fermentation started naturally, with extraction managed by punch-downs and pump-overs. Basket-pressed to barrels and aged for 12 months before the best barrels were selected.
Tasting Notes

Food Pairing roast chicken, charcuterie, grilled vegetables, camembert, chevin cheese
