Production Details Second vintage. Owner Carel Nel's personal blend crafted from low-yielding old-vine Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barocca, rounded out with Shiraz. Hand harvested Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barocca were fermented in traditional lagars and open-top cement fermenters with manual pigeage, then matured in new French oak barrels. The Shiraz component came from trellised Stellenbosch vines, was fermented in tank with intense pump-overs, and matured in a combination of French and American oak barrels before blending. Wine of origin: Calitzdorp/Stellenbosch.
