Production Details Fruit destemmed and optically sorted, fermented in small batches for approximately 24 days on skins. Gently pressed and transferred to French oak barrels (80% new). Aged 15 months in barrel, then assessed for quality before final blending. Returned to oak for additional 6 months and bottled in late July 2018 without fining or filtration. Total of 21 months in oak. Approximately 2,000 cases produced.

Nose: dark cherry, cinnamon, baking spice, vanilla, earth, anise, tobacco, violets, lavender, Black Forest cake, mulberries, tobacco leaf, fragrant earth
Palate: juicy black cherry, blackberry jam, cardamom, clove, baking spice, warm earth, sweet tobacco, cassis, kirsch, Chinese five spice, rose hip tea, cedar chest, mineral accents, red and black fruits, fine-grained tannins
