Production Details 2018 began with 355mm of rain and snow in January and 162mm in February. A surprise temperature increase after April 15th encouraged early vine opening. May and June saw 52mm and 32mm of rain during blooming. A 3-day August heatwave reached 39-40°C. Cinsault grapes dried with unusually high sugar content. Each varietal fermented with natural yeasts in concrete vats. Cabernet Sauvignon fermentation was straightforward; Cinsault and Carignan required close monitoring. Malolactic fermentations for Cinsault and Carignan were still pending 3 months after harvest. Aged 12 months in French Nevers oak barrels. Blended January 2021. Bottled without fining or filtration during July-August 2021. Released spring 2024.
